How are we giving back to our community? Relay for Life, an overnight, non-competitive relay that honours and celebrates cancer survivors, has become the signature fundraising event of the Canadian Cancer Society. This past summer, communities across Canada united in the fight against cancer for a night of fun, friendship and fundraising with incredible results. The 2011 Relay for Life Kingsville will be held on June 10th -11th at the Canadian transportation Museum and Heritage Village.
Exceeding our every expectation and surpassing our goal, last year's Relay for Life in Kingsville raised over $150,000 for cancer research and community support programs. This success could not have been achieved without the support of our generous national, provincial, and local sponsors.The support of local businesses and community individuals in the past has demonstrated true compassion. Many of us have witnessed the courageous struggle of a friend or family member with cancer. As leaders in our community and volunteers for the Relay for Life Kingsville, we in the community of Harrow, know that we can all be of some assistance in the fight to "Make Cancer History".
